Holy Family Update

Fr. Frank Matera left. He was an associate weekend priest at Holy Family for many years. He is retiring from CU and leaving the area. He will be missed. He was an authority on St. Paul and his homilies and lectures were awe inspiring.

Our Lady of the Fields in Millersville

The pastor Gene Nichol was asked to resign. The archbishop numbered the days of his kingdom and brought it to an end. Fr. Nichol was weighed on the scales and found to be too light. His kingdom was divided and given to.....stay tuned. (Adapted from the book of Daniel)

Our Bishop

Our Bishop is Mitch Rozanski. To express it most charitably: He is not everyone's cup of tea. He listens too often to those with whom he sympathizes or who sympathize with him

St. Andrew by the Bay

Fr. Jeff Dauses is the new pastor since July. One of the best pastors that this diocese has. No shrinking violet, great spirituality, fair and a great sense of humor.

Elizabeth Seton in Crofton

Nice elderly priest who very soon will probably retire. Whom will they get next? There probably will be clustering in the future with Church of the Holy Apostles and their new pastor, Fr. Jim Kiesel.

St. Joseph's in Odenton

The priest seems to be an oddball. None of his fellow priest have ever said anything really nice about him. The parish has a lot of rules and regulations that are not userfriendly. Will not permit his youth to participate officially in the Right to Life March - "too political" according to him.

Church of the Crucifixion

Three new priest there: Msgr. Rich Bozzelli, Fr. Kevin Farmer, and Fr. Jesse Bolger. Fr. Kevin Farmer seems to have a nice sense of humor.  This parish ontinues the tradition of great Bible Classes. Msgr. Rich Bozzelli and Fr. Jesse Bolger are wonderful teachers. Nice parishioners. This is a little gem of a parish.2011 Update: Fr. Kevin Farmer is no longer associated with this cluster. He expected his own parish and when he did not get anything, he took a leave of absence. Still absent as of this notice.

Honorable Mention

Two priests who left Anne Arundel County and need to be mentioned: Fr. Kevin Mueller - a real Mensch. Humble and down to earth and excellent homilies.
Fr. Eric Arnold - very lovely and his holiness shines.
